Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Barry graduated from Jeffersonville High School in Jeffersonville, Indiana where he excelled in Journalism and Soccer. He was able to attend Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky on a Soccer scholarship and serving as Sports Editor for the newspaper and graduating with a Degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. Barry then chose to attend Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California and obtaining his Juris Doctorate in 2003.
After law school, Barry was able to work for such prestigious litigation law firms such as Hinden, Grueskin & Rondeau and Drinker, Biddle & Reath before handling Workers Compensation litigation cases for AIG in Costa Mesa, California. In 2006 Barry returned to the Commonwealth of Kentucky and began handling various litigation matters for his own practice and the Justice Cabinet.
